Executive decision

I arrived at the playground with my four-year-old where a boy of a similar age was also playing with his mother. Suddenly he stopped in the midst of playing and put his hand down his trousers. His surprised mother asked him what he was doing. He calmly replied, “Thinking.” Exasperated and slightly embarrassed, the mother turned to me and sighed,

“Just like his father!”

Snack attack

oy older son came to stay with me recently, so I pulled out all the stops to make him tasty sandwiches. one had chicken, bacon and mayonnaise. The next day I asked how he’d liked his sandwiches and he said, “They were great!” I asked if he knew what the filling was. “I think it was cheese and lettuce,” was his cheery remark. I might use stale bread next time.

Naughty or nice

I went to the mall to see Santa entertain children. There was one child who caused quite a stir when he sat on Santa’s knee. Santa asked the child if he had been a good boy and the boy said, “Yes.” Seeing his mum nearby, Santa asked the boy what his mum wanted for Christmas. “She wants the sex movies,” the boy said. Santa was shocked until oum pointed out he meant Sex and the City.
