Noticeboard

Seeking: Glennis Smith (nee Locke). Last known address: Box 57, Warkworth. Please write to D Weavers (nee Begg) at: 72 Altwood Rd, Paremoremo, Auckland, 0632.

Wanted: Yogi Bear 8ply Wool Knitting pattern, knitted on size 10 needles. Approximately 14 to 16 inches, tall of a slim build. I had this pattern around 45 years ago – it may have been in a Stitchcraft magazine or the old English Woman’s Weekly. I have lost mine and would so appreciate a scan or photocopy. I am very happy to pay costs. Please email: [email protected] or phone 027 4304 639.

Wanted: In the Spring 1953 issue of the magazine Te Ao Hou (published by the Maori Affairs Department) it was reported that, “Maori Women’s Welfare League members in Te Kuiti planted 24 young totara trees in the pa grounds to commemorate the coronation of Elizabeth II.” They planted 24, one for each year of the Queen’s life. Does anybody remember this? I would love to be able to put a date to it. Please email: [email protected]
