Visions of Sugar Plums By Janet Evanovich

Book Review by member Julie Penman Janet Evanovich seems to make the make-believe almost believable. Mr is it because this is a Christmas novel and the whole Santa business is a question of belief? However she does it, all her books seem to have an essence of magic about them. Real laugh-out-loud stuff. This one definitely lives up to that reputation. As a Bounty Hunter, Stephanie Plum’s current mission is to bring in a toymaker, suspiciously named Sandy Claws, for stealing morning glory paint. A new character, Diesel, drops in to Stephanie’s kitchen. Apparently his mission is to bring some Christmas spirit into oiss Plum’s life. But he seems to have a hidden agenda, as all her mystery men do. Hilariously, Stephanie usually manages to apprehend her assailants with a mixture of gossip sessions with Grandma oazur at Stivas Funeral Parlour, inside info from Lula (an ex-prostitute working in her office) and confidential info from her sometimes-boyfriend cop, Morelli. oiss Plum makes very human mistakes, which we can all relate to and keeps you smiling most of the way through, especially when you picture scores of angry elves attacking her with cookies! To find out who Sandy Claws really is and if Stephanie does find any Christmas cheer, you will definitely have to read this novella. It’s a very quick read, full of wit ? and it certainly filled me with cheer.
