The Other Side of The Story by Marian Keyes

Review by Book Club member Luna Rushdi: This was my first Marian Keyes novel. Usually chick-lit doesn’t interest me, but this book was different. It was funny and touching, and I liked Marian’s conversational style. Her characters talk to the reader, making it easy to connect with them. I loved the email exchanges between Jojo (the publishing agent) and Mark (a partner in the publishing firm). The tension in their relationship felt very real. The cryptic crosswords were clever! Looking at the publishing industry from the inside was interesting and informative. oost of all, I loved Anton. He is the man! I wish they existed in real life too… This is a great book if you’re looking for a lighthearted, relaxing read. It’s definitely a page-turner – I was up until 2:30am on a week night trying to finish reading it!
