Knitting pattern for kids’ gauntlets

With winter becoming ever-increasingly cold, here's an easy to follow and quick pattern to keep the little ones warm. Suitable for beginners

oaterials

  • 1 pair of 7.00mm (UK 2) knitting needles or size needed to give correct tension.

  • Wool needle for sewing seams.

Tension

14 sts and 18 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 7.00mm needles.

Check your tension carefully.

If less sts to 10cm use smaller needles, if more sts use bigger needles.

Gauntlets

Using 7.00mm needles, cast on 26 (32-32) sts.

**Beg Rib Patt

**

1st row (right side) – P2, K4, P2, rep from to end.

2nd row – K2, P4, K2, rep from to end.

Last 2 rows form rib.

Cont in rib until work measures 14 (16-18) cm from beg, ending with a 2nd rib row.

Cast off in rib.

To make up

Do not press. Join side seam.
