Interior decorating: Fresh bach

  • Photo 1 of 0

It’s hard to beat a laid-back Kiwi summer and there’s no place better to enjoy it than at a good-old bach or crib.

A neutral-themed holiday home is the perfect place to unwind. Subtle décor accents, such as the classic cane chair and foot stool, along with the tongue-and-groove wall texture, give this room a casual feel.

A deep shade of grey on the walls gives you a great deal of versatility. It keeps the room calm and peaceful, and doesn’t overwhelm the space.

When you play it safe with key pieces of furniture, you can have fun with bits and pieces, and embellishments, such as these funky printed cushions or a retro vase. Give the room a dash of colour with vibrant orange and blue hues.
