Her sister is famed for her perfect derriere, but Dannii Minogue’s shapely shoulders are just as enviable. The 40-year-old former The X Factor judge, whose son is nearly two, says she got back into shape after her pregnancy with exercises, including push-ups on the PowerPlate – a vibrating platform said to give muscles an intense workout.

**This works the bottom and back as well as the shoulders:

  • Lie face down on the floor with your arms above your head and legs outstretched. Turn your palms inwards to face each other. Keep your head in line with your spine.

  • Contract your abdominal muscles and stretch your legs away from your torso so that they lift a few inches off the ground. At the same time, stretch forward with your arms so they reach a few inches off the ground. Don’t rotate your body or arch your back.

  • Hold the position for three to five seconds before lowering your arms and legs back to the start position without moving the hips. Repeat eight to 12 times.
