NZ Woman's Weekly

Rated PG.

Don’t let the spooky content of ParaNorman deter you from taking the kids to see it. It tells the story of Norman, a boy who can see and talk to ghosts, who is trying to save his town from zombies and a witch’s curse. The very mild scary moments are balanced well with humour – the kids will be in stitches watching the zombies in all their gory 3D glory. Adults will appreciate the nods to horror- ick clichés and funny lines: for example, when Norman’s mum says, “Grandma’s in a better place,” Norman quips “In the living room?”
