Film review: The Impossible
By Emma Rawson on 18th January, in Fun & Win, Movies, Reviews
Rated M.
Images of the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami that killed more than 230,000 people in 14 countries will always be haunting. This film tries to re-create the impossible, attempting to portray the scale of the devastation without Hollywood spin – and it comes close. Telling the true story of the Alvarez Belon family’s experiences in Thailand, it’s well acted by Naomi Watts and youngster Tom Holland is a great new talent.
In cinemas January 24.
