Tegan and Sara: Heartthrob

Tegan and Sara: Heartthrob album reviewCanadian twins Tegan and Sara have moved into new territory with their seventh album, moving from indie rock into a softer pop sound that’s surprisingly more powerful. Nobody can criticise the openly gay duo, who first hit the airwaves in 1996, of selling out for a commercial sound – Now I’m All Messed Up is a power ballad laced with delicious synth that you won’t be able to resist singing along to. Goodbye Goodbye and I Was A Fool is one of the many catchy tracks that tackle heartbreak and love with style.
