Much like the TV series – which presents urban life with refreshing honesty – this album is filled with tracks that show life isn’t all one note or one mood. There are boogie-worthy tunes, including Robyn’s Dancing on My Own and Icona Pop’s I Don’t Care, gorgeous singalongs from US indie bands White Sea and Fun, and a Nicki Minaj-like hip-hop outing from Santigold. It’s dynamic, energising and makes for great listening.
