Friends with Kids

Can a couple have kids but still keep the romance in their relationship alive? That’s the question asked by Friends with Kids. After watching their friends’ relationships suffer through the trials and tribulations of raising children, longtime pals Julie and Jason decide to try to preserve their individual love lives by having a child together as friends. The film explores some interesting territory but sits uncomfortably between drama and comedy. There are some enjoyable and well-penned scenes, but the comedic talents of Bridesmaids’ Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Jon Hamm are wasted here.
