The combination of linseed, sunflower seeds and almonds (LSA) has been enjoyed for its health benefits for many years. In a milkshake it makes for a great start to the day, especially with the combination of cocoa and coffee flavours.
- 4 bananas
- 4 tbsp instant coffee
- 300ml almond milk
- 6 tbsp LSA
- 3 tbsp good-quality dark cocoa powder (Fair Trade, of course)
- 4 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp dates
- 1 cup ice
- 2 tbsp whole almonds
- 50g Whittaker’s dark chocolate
1 In a food processor or a blender, blitz all the ingredients (except whole almonds) together until smooth.
2 Pour the shake mix into 4 glasses, then microplane or finely grate the almonds and dark chocolate over the top – watch your knuckles.
