This sweet and crunchy slice is a traditional recipe and always a favourite with the kids. Any leftover condensed milk can be frozen for later use.
3/4 cup sugar
3 Weet-Bix, crushed
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup flour
2 tbsp cocoa
3/4 cup coconut
1 tsp vanilla extract
175g butter, melted
50g butter, melted
2 cups icing sugar
2 cups coconut
1/2 can (200g) sweetened condensed milk
1. Preheat oven to 180C. Place sugar, Weet-Bix, baking powder, flour, cocoa and coconut in a bowl.
2. Add combined vanilla and melted butter, mix well.
3. Press into a greased or lined 28 x 20cm slice pan and bake for 15 minutes until cooked.
4. Mix all topping ingredients together and quickly spread over the warm cooked base. Cut into squares.
