Almond and rum truffles

Ready in 3 hours and 30 minutes, makes 18 truffles.
You can place a bamboo toothpick or skewer into each luscious treat before packaging them as a gift.
- 250g dark chocolate
- 3 tbsp cream
- 125g unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp rum
- 1 cup sliced almonds
1. Break the chocolate into pieces. Place the cream and the chocolate into a heatproof bowl over a pot of boiling water. Heat until the mixture is smooth.
2. Cut the butter into small pieces. Beat into the chocolate mixture until all the butter is mixed in. Stir in the rum.
3. Chill mixture for 3 hours.
4. Roll mixture into balls then coat in sliced almonds. Store in the fridge.
