My beauty secrets – Sarah Barty

My beauty philosophy is… Natural, healthy skin. I wear minimal make-up and am careful with the foods I choose, as the right diet can contribute to more radiant, youthful skin. I opt for dairy-free, and eat lots of leafy greens and seeds to help eliminate toxins. I regularly do the PHD Cleanse, an amazing three-day raw juice detox. It leaves my skin looking completely revitalised.

The skincare products I can’t live without are… Bioelements Pumice Peel. I love this gentle facial scrub that smooths out fine lines. It’s like having a microdermabrasion at home. Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant + feels so luxurious on your skin and deeply moisturises, and the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser – I wear this every day. It’s light and has the essential sunscreen we all need, plus a hint of colour.

My haircare secret is… My best friend Belinda, hairdresser and owner of Biba Boutique Salon. She uses the ammonia-free colour INOA by L’Oréal Professionnel to gently lighten my hair and prescribes Pureology Pure Volume for me to use at home, which I love. She recently gave me a fringe – the best on-trend accessory for a girl who wants to look and feel youthful!

The must-have products in my make-up bag are… Clinique Chubby Stick in Heaping Hazelnut is my go-to everyday lip balm with a hint of colour. I can’t travel without my Chloé travel-size perfume. Lastly, Lucas’ Papaw Ointment – it’s the best for healing everything, from cuts and sunburn to dry skin. With three active boys who are always outside, I often use it on them too.

My favourite beauty treat is… A luxury pedicure with soyaffin treatment (the natural alternative to paraffin). I love pampering my feet and, due to wearing heels most days, they need it.

My biggest beauty sin is… Lying in the sun and enjoying a healthy tan, although I do wear sunscreen and a hat.

The best thing my mother taught me about beauty was…Less is more. Mum wears minimal make-up and has a simple beauty regime.
