My beauty philosophy is…

You are what you eat, treat your body like a temple, look after your mind, stay young at heart, and also be positive to yourself and others. Inner beauty never fades or dates.

The skincare products I can’t live without are…

I keep my skincare very uncomplicated and only use oils. I use Hema Facial Cleansing Oil and blends from Martina Organics.

I also love Dr Hauschka Rose Body Oil. Thankfully I was given the advice to look after your neck area from a young age.

My hair care secret is…

Invest in a quality shampoo and conditioner; it makes a huge difference. I use Kérastase Bain De Force and also Kérastase Initialiste to strengthen my fine hair. I also adore L’Oréal Professionnel Texture Dust for volume. My signature look is messy – I’m too busy looking after everyone else’s hair to do mine!

The must-have products in my make-up bag are…

I use MAC Foundation, the magic YSL Touché Éclat, L’Oréal Paris mascara and liquid eyeliner. I love MAC Russian Red lipstick for when I’m feeling saucy, MAC nude lipstick when I’m feeling classic and YSL hot pink lipstick for when I’m cheeky and playful.

My favourite beauty treat is…

A facial with Margaret Hema. One hour of total uninterrupted bliss. I just had 18 days in Wanaka, where my family is from, and the fresh air and simple life made me realise the importance of taking time out for yourself.

My biggest beauty sin is…

I’m partial to caffeine; I love my two cups of coffee a day but if I forget to drink water my skin feels dry and looks dull. Also, as a result of growing up in Central Otago, my skin has suffered some sun damage.

The best thing my mother taught me about beauty was…

To love myself and not to worry about what everyone else thinks.
