My beauty philosophy is…

Start young with a beauty regime that works for you. Don’t make it too involved otherwise you won’t follow it. Wear sunblock daily and always remove your make-up.

skincare products I can’t live without are…

SkinMedica AHA/BHA cream to keep my skin feeling fresh and smooth by removing the dead skin cells, Aspect Dr active C serum and retinol. I also use SkinMedica Tri-Retinol complex and CosMedix Reflect Sunscreen is amazing – you can spritz it on during the day over your make-up for a top up and it doesn’t feel greasy.

My haircare secret is…

Having a trim regularly and not using straighteners too often. I love L’Oréal Professionnel Vitamino Color shampoo and conditioner. Also their Mythic Oil is a must to avoid frizzy hair in the humid summer months.

The must-have products in my make-up bag are…

Lancôme Pencil Eyeliner which lasts all day and doesn’t smudge, Lancôme Hypnôse Drama mascara as it really defines and gives you amazingly long-looking lashes, Osmosis Mineral Makeup which is really easy to apply for a touch up when you have an evening function after work and Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Bone.

My favourite beauty treat is…

A multi-vitamin skin infusion facial which I have monthly. It leaves skin well hydrated and glowing. Also a bit of Botox to keep niggly frown lines at bay.

My biggest beauty sin is…

Loving the sun. Even though I wear sunblock, I can’t stay out of it.

The best thing my mother taught me about beauty…

Growing up in the harsh South African climate, to wear sunblock on my face. It’s a pity I didn’t apply it to my décolletage as well!
