My Beauty Secrets: Claudia Rodrigues

Claudia Rodrigues is an Auckland make-up artist.

My beauty philosophy is…

Embrace what you’ve got and look after it.

The skincare products I can’t live without are…

I love all Trilogy products. At the moment, I can’t do without my Face Care Vital Moisturising Cream that I use day and night, the Age Proof COQ10 Booster Serum that does exactly what it says it does, my Hydrating Mist Toner for freshness, and my Body Care Ultra Hydrating Body Cream that has little golden particles to make the skin sparkle in the sun.

My haircare secret is…

You can’t beat a good cut and mine is by Annette Oliver from mobile salon About A Girl. Best layers ever. I wash it and condition it with Herbal Essences None Of Your Frizzness, then spread a good amount of Argan Oil Of Morocco and let it dry naturally. It doesn’t get easier than that.

The must-have products in my make-up bag are…

It all starts with my MAC Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15 as a quick-to-apply base, my MAC Cremesheen Glass and Cremeblend Blush, for sheer colour on my lips and cheeks, my Thin Lizzy Duo Eyeliner, half black half brown, and my favourite mascara L’OrÉal Paris Volume Million Lashes. I also have Lucas Papaw Ointment for dry skin emergencies.

My favourite beauty treat is…

I’m a huge fan of pedicures and manicures but my best beauty treatment was a full body and facial massage at the Pullman Hotel Spa.

My biggest beauty sin is…

I love sunbathing. I grew up in Brazil, where the sun culture is immense. What can I say? When I sunbathe, it feels like home.
