Cathy Pope, 41, is an Auckland wardrobe stylist, dressmaker and jewellery designer.

My beauty philosophy is… Celebrate and enhance the good parts and disguise the not so good bits, but don’t try to be someone else. It’s about individuality and standing out from the crowd.

The skincare products I can’t live without are… River Veda’s Replenish range. Made in New Zealand, it’s the most natural, nourishing and divine smelling skincare range. Their Honeysuckle And Rose Body Oil is incredible. Also I’m a longtime devotee of Dr Bronner’s Lavender Castile Liquid Soap.

My haircare secret is… Olivia at Servilles Mission Bay. She’s amazing and has cut my hair for the past eight years. Last year, I had it all chopped off and I love it. I don’t use much product on my hair but if I want more body, I use Osis Dust It Powder.

The must-have products in my make-up bag are… As a base, I use MAC Prep + Prime Skin to smooth out my skin texture and then I have my own little recipe of part MAC, part EstÉe Lauder foundation. I highlight the good parts of my face with MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter, then use Mac Bronzing Powder. I like Benefit Brow Zings, Clinique Long Last Glosswear or Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie and MAC lipstick in Morange if I’m feeling bold.

My favourite beauty treat is… Getting my nails done by my friend Imogene from Pop Nails. I’m pretty rough with my hands so they appreciate the love.

My biggest beauty sin is… Not drinking enough water.
