Q. I have dark circles beneath my eyes. What’s the best way for me to conceal them without my make-up looking caked on or unnatural? Lara, Auckland.
Use a yellow-toned, creamy-textured concealer that is slightly lighter than your skin tone. Don’t go too light as it can end up looking grey, and make sure to choose one with a natural semi-matte finish which won’t leave skin looking dry and flat.
Apply by dotting a tiny amount onto the dark areas and then softly blending out with your fingers. Avoid the areas of the eye that crease most – the laugh lines – as any product will sink in and make them more obvious.
Bobbi Brown does a Creamy Concealer Kit $70 specifically for eyes that also includes a super-fine powder to set make-up. Alternatively, try MAC Pro Longwear Concealer $40, which gives long-lasting coverage.
