You are still in love with your partner but perhaps the overwhelming physical desire has worn off. You are committed to each other, but you’re worried about the state of affairs in the bedroom. Here are a few tips for putting the passion back in your relationship:
Make time
Examine your lifestyle and make sure that you are making time to have sex with your partner. Life can get very busy and often our time for lovemaking can be pushed to the bottom of the list. You need to make time to make love or else other things will crowd it out.
Kids are no excuse
One of the biggest mistakes couples make when they have children is that they stop being lovers and become mums and dads. Being a parent doesn’t mean you stop being a partner and neglecting this role is often a huge mistake. You need to reevaluate your time and perhaps spend less time at the office or learn to say no to certain social commitments in order to make time for each other, irregardless of the kids.
Make sex a fun project
Make the decision to recommit to each other on a physical level and move sex higher on your priorty list. Start by making small changes – put your kids to bed earlier, don’t watch TV so late, go to bed at the same time as your partner. Ask yourself every day what little changes you can make to make time for love making.
Make yourself over
How sexy are you feeling in yourself? Perhaps you have gotten so comfortable, you no longer feel sexy in yourself. Make some time to invest in your own self, and sexuality. Loose weight, get a new haircut, buy an outfit that makes you feel great. Men are visual creatures so stimulate your love making sessions by stimulating his eyes!
Speak up
If your man is not giving you all you want in the bedroom, talk to him about it in a non-confrontational way. Being sexually satisfied and feeling wanted by your partner is a legitimate and healthy part of a relationship. Tell him the things you need and want him to do and listen to his desires too.
Get creative!
Find new ways to put some fun and excitement into your sex life. Have sex in different rooms in the house, try different positions, wear something provocative. Give yourself permission to explore each other's fantasies any way you can.
Be patient
Solutions to your lovemaking will not happen overnight and it will take an extra commitment from both of you. Be patient, and most importantly, turn to your partner. Come up with a plan together that you both agree on and can be excited about, and then put it into action!

Over the Teacups
My four-year-old grandson was at the supermarket with his mother when he exclaimed, “You’re buying something, Mummy, auntie is buying something – I want to buy something!” Mum replied, “You have to be big, have a wife, have a job, then you can buy things.” He replied, “I have a wife – Maia,” meaning his four-year-old friend. Mum said, “What about a job?” Master Four replied, “My job is having a wife!”

Water you want?
I was in the car and asking Master Three what he wanted for Christmas. He said he was going to ask Santa for a water pistol. “And Nanny,” he added, “I’m going to ask for some water for our paddling pool.” Now that could be interesting!

Bee gone
Master Three had his first bee sting recently. The incident broke his heart, but after many cuddles he came right. Later he said, “I never want to see another bee again. I don’t like bees any more, I only like flies.”

Fraud with worry
My daughter warned me that “old people are being taken for a ride,” and that I shouldn’t engage in conversation with phone sales people. To this, Master Five piped up, “Nana can’t go on that ride, she’s old.”
