I heard you on the radio recently discussing the benefits of apple cider vinegar with one of your guests and that you were trying it out. Can you tell me again what those benefits are and is it working for you?

Thanks for your letter, because it gives me a chance to push one of the best health foods you can take, in my opinion. ACV, as we call it in my house, has been used for centuries to help with arthritis and joint pain and is now said to have benefits for diabetics by lowering blood sugar levels. And it can also gradually assist weight loss. My experience is that it tastes awful in the beginning but then you get used to it. While out walking with our fouryear- old granddaughter, she became grizzly and irritated so my husband decided
to lift her onto his shoulders to carry her. Having only taken a few steps, she said to me, “Nana, Papa has got paint in his hair.” I looked up and realised she was talking about his new white strands coming through. Kids – you’ve got to love them.
