Based on Richelle Mead’s young adult novels of the same name, Vampire Academy is likely to fill the gap left by Twilight. Set in a high school, half-mortal vampire Rose (Zoey Deutch) is one of many guardians assigned to protect the peaceful vampires who live among us. However, when a group of bloodthirsty immortals, the Strigoi, threaten her peace, she and her friends must take action. But Vampire Academy struggles to find its teeth, and without Twilight’s iconic characters, this film pales in comparison.
