Wellington: The Diwali Festival of Lights kicks off at TSB Bank Arena, Wellington this Sunday, 1pm-10pm. The family friendly event celebrates Indian culture with traditional and contemporary dance performances, food stalls, music and displays. See, asianz.org.nz

Nothing-Trivial Quiz Night

Palmerston North: If you’re a Nothing Trivial fan, head along to the Netball Manawatu Quiz Night at the Redsox Clubrooms, Palmerston North on Friday night. The fun-filled quiz evening will be hosted by the show’s stars Blair Strang and Will Hall. Doors opens at 6.30pm, with an entry fee of $20 per person. Music performance

Hamilton: The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra presents Bold Worlds – Picture at an Exhibition on Friday night. Featuring one of the world’s greatest living trumpet soloist Håkan Hardenberger, the performance is a celebration of brass instruments. The performance will take place at Founders Theatre, Hamilton on Friday, 7.30pm.

Picnic
