What do you love most about your dressing room?

That it’s a bit like a home away from home. Himalayan crystal lamp ambience, fairy lights and just a gorgeous, cosy place that people like to be in!

What do you use it for the most?

Changing clothes. You wouldn’t believe how many times we get in and out of different outfits during filming! And chats. Lots of chats.

What sort of bond do you have with your dressing room buddy?

I share with Amanda Billing, who plays Dr Potts. We have a wonderful friendship and after three and a half years of being dressing room flatmates, you get to know one another pretty well!

What’s the most annoying thing your buddy does?

I’ll never tell!

If you could share a dressing room with anyone in the world, who would it be?

I’d alternate between Dames Judi Dench and Maggie Smith. I shared a dressing room with Jerry Hall for two months when I was in London – that was fun!

Does your buddy borrow your stuff and never give it back?

Amanda’s pretty good. I’m the one who “borrows” her chocolate and never gives it back. She hides it but I can sniff it out at 50 paces.

What’s the most precious thing in your dressing room?

A board on my wall with notes and cards from people I love and people who have left, and pictures of my beautiful two-year-old niece, Lilly.

What do you do to chill out in your dressing room?

I work on my computer doing different stuff. I have many chats to my buddies and I read.

How much time do you spend in your room?

A lot, which is why Amanda and I have tried to make it a lovely space. We love our sanctuary.

Who visits your room the most?

Whoever I have scenes with will visit a lot to run lines, but my heart friends such as Angela [Bloomfield, Amelia [Reid-Meredith], Beth [Allen] and Sally [Martin] often come in for a chat and a laugh.

Do you ever sleep in your dressing room?

Well, there is a bed. It’d be rude not to.

What do you use your dressing room for the most?

Exercise. I’ve got gym rings hanging up in my room, and a boxing bag and a big tyre. And I’ve got enough room to skip and do burpees.

What sort of bond do you have with your dressing room buddy?

Tyler Read (Evan) and I are tight. He’s quiet, but at the same time really funny. He’s an awesome roommate to have because he’s everything that I’m not – it’s like my twin brother.

If you could share a dressing room with anyone in the world, who would it be?

Usain Bolt. He can give me the secret on how he runs so fast. Or Denzel Washington. Or Jessica Alba.

Does Tyler borrow your stuff and never give it back?

No – that’s another reason I like him! Although he has borrowed one of my games and hasn’t finished it yet, so we will find out soon if he’s one of those guys.

What’s the most precious thing in your dressing room?

Photos of my family.

What do you do to chill out?

Sleep and listen to music. We’ve got a pretty wicked stereo in there. We have a foldout deckchair, a bean bag and cushions. We put them in front of the TV I took out of the green room and a DVD player.

What is all the paper on your walls?

They’re my workouts. I haven’t put any new ones up there for ages, so that’ll have to be a job for the new year.

Amelia Reid-Meredith (Bella)

What do you love most about your dressing room?

The light. We have a corner window, so we have the brightest room. It’s so nice if you’ve been on set all day as it reminds you the outside world still exists!

What do you use it for the most?

Learning lines and breaking down all my scripts. There can be a lot of downtime in our job, so I try to keep productive. However there are a lot of visits from castmates so some days are filled with mindless chatter!

What sort of bond do you have with your dressing room buddy?

I share with Sally Martin (Nicole) and Frankie Adams (Ula) and they are absolute goddesses. We have a lovely sisterly bond. I’m definitely the middle sis!

If you could share a dressing room with anyone in the world, who would it be?

I reckon I’ve got the best deal right now – oh, but George Clooney perhaps!

What’s the most precious thing in your dressing room?

A picture of my grandma.

Are you a messy or a tidy person?

I’m messy, but Sally is very tidy!

Who visits your dressing room the most?

Angela Bloomfield.

Who are the pictures of on your mirror?

My mum’s two best friends Kathy and Kim, who are like my other mums, my husband Shadon, my brother Toby and sister-in-law Rachael.

What does it smell like?

A mixture of Elie Saab, Marc Jacobs’ Daisy and Armani Mania. Our three perfumes!
