Three actresses are in the running to play superhero Wonder Woman in the upcoming film Superman vs Batman.
Although filmmakers haven’t confirmed whether the famous lasso-throwing superhero will appear in the film, but Variety reports that Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, Fast & Furious actress Gal Gadot and GI Joe: Retaliation star Elodie Yung have all auditioned for the role.
Man of Steel star Henry Cavill will return as Superman for the new film, but fans are divided about producer’s choice to cast Ben Affleck as Batman.
Variety’s sources stress that the women could have been auditioning for a role Bruce Wayne’s love interest, but the casting description of “tall, brunette, athletic and exotic” also matches that of the Wonder Woman character.
Thor actress Jaimie Alexander was rumoured to also be up for the running for Wonder Woman, but her involvement in future projects with rival comic company Marvel takes her out of the running.
