American Idol host Ryan Seacrest has split from his girlfriend of nearly three years, Safe Haven actress Julianne Hough. A source close to the couple said that the pair split because Ryan, who also works as an E! news reporter, TV producer and radio host, didn’t have time for a relationship. “Dude works all the time,” a friend told Us Weekly. “He never sleeps.”
Although Julianne’s career has been steadily on the rise since she appeared in Rock of Ages last year – she’s set to appear in two more films this year – friends of the star say she wasn’t a fan of the attention she attracted when she was with Ryan.“It’s a lifestyle she couldn’t handle anymore. Work always, always came first [for Ryan]. She wants a more low-key life,” says a friend.
But Julianne seemed in good spirits over the weekend, posting a photo of herself at the beach with Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev and stylist Riawna Capri.
