For purely aesthetic reasons, we’ve never been fans of the mullet. And now it seems we have another reason to hate this heinous hairstyle. Michael Bolton blames the mullet for making him grow hair in other places!
The ‘How Can We Be Lovers’ singer spent much of the 1980s and ’90s sporting the unfortunate look, but more recently got a shorter, more cropped ‘do. He tells, “I cut my hair off and sold it for charity but now I have hair growing out of my ears. I don’t know if it’s the mullet’s revenge or something but I love my short hair. I’m glad I cut it.”
Michael (57) – who was previously engaged to former ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Nicolette Sheridan – was amazed at the amount of attention he received when he cut his locks. He says, “I had no idea it would be such a big deal. I remember I was in London and I was watching some serious news story when they interrupted the bulletin with, ‘News just in – Michael Bolton cuts his hair!’ It was hysterical.”
