Lou Reed dies at 71

Popular rock legend and leader of Velvet Underground Lou Reed has died at aged 71.

How the massively influential rock artist died is unknown at this stage but he had a liver transplant earlier this year.

Rolling Stone call Velvet Underground the “the most influential American rock band of all time” but as a solo artist he was,  he was “chameleonic, thorny and unpredictable, challenging his fans at every turn.”

Reed is also well known for Take a Walk on the Wild Side (1973) and Perfect Day (1972 & again in 1997).
