It seems distance is no barrier to love with technology around to help. Reports circulated last month that The X Factor USA judge Kelly Rowland was engaged to her boyfriend and manager Tim Witherspoon, and now she has confirmed he proposed via Skype.
“He asked me first on Skype,” she said during an interview on The Queen Latifah Show. “I was like, ‘We’re so far away from each other.'”
The 32-year-old singer revealed that they have kept the engagement private, saying “We’ve kept it very, very low – for years, to be completely honest.”
The former Destiny’s Child singer rarely discusses her private life but has been engaged once before to footballer Roy Williams, but their engagement ended just two months before they were set to wed.
The couple have been together for nine years.
