Justin Timberlake fans will be thrilled with the singer’s announcement that he is heading back to the studio and is set to release his first album in six years.
The former N*Sync singer took a break from the music industry in 2006 to try his hand at acting, and scored roles in Alpha Dog, Friends With Benefits, Bad Teacher and The Social Network. His last album was FutureSex/LoveSounds, which sold more than 4 million copies.
“I’m ready,” he simply states. Justin then shares why he took such a long break from music via a voiceover: “Someone asked me the other day, ‘So are you just done with music?’ It means more to me than to anybody else in the world. I’ve only done two albums in 10 years, that’s the way I really look at it. What does the next decade mean for me? I’m the one who sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it.”
It is estimated there will be further updates on Justin’s next move at around 6pm today.
