Jessica Simpson gives birth

Jessica Simpson is a mum again. The reality star and her husband, Eric Johnson, are parents to a baby boy they have named Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute).

“Ace Knute Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great,” said Jessica’s rep in a statement to Us Weekly.

“Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family.”

Jessica and Eric are already parents to 14-month-old Maxwell Drew, whose name is a tribute to Eric’s family – Maxwell is Eric’s middle name as well as his grandmother’s surname and Drew is Jessica’s mother’s maiden name. The new baby’s name is also derived from family. His middle name honours Eric’s Swedish paternal grandfather, Knute Johnson.
