The 43-year-old is said to have caused a maid who worked at the luxury hotel she stayed at to be fired after she asked the star for her autograph, according to German newspaper Bild. The maid, Pray Dodaj says that even though she was unsuccessful of getting a signed autograph from the star, she was fired by her employer at Hotel Melia Dusseldorf.
“I cleaned on her floor. And I am an incredibly big fan so I took all my courage and rang the bell to get an autograph,” said Pray.
“But I was rejected by two assistants at the door… a day later the cleaning company that employed me at the hotel called and said that Ms. Lopez had complained. I was fired right there on the phone.”
A representative from the Melia Dusseldorf said the firing was standard protocol.
“She has acted contrary to the contractual arrangements and disturbed the privacy of our guests,” they said.
J-Lo, who is currently on tour in Europe, has denied being involved in the situation.
She wrote on her Twitter page, “C’mon thought you knew me better than this. Would never get anyone fired over an autograph. 1st I heard of this was on twitter. #hurtful.”
Since the incident, Pray has managed to find work at another hotel.
