Jennifer Aniston’s new squeeze Gerard Butler has been involved in a canine controversy. New York dog owner Fred Varecka accused ‘The Bounty’ actor of striking one of his greyhounds, earlier this week.
Fred says Gerard’s unleashed pup approached his greyhounds and the actor unnecessarily struck one of them. “oy dog crashed into a fence before yelping in pain. I asked him, ‘What did you hit my dog for?'” However, an eyewitness says that Fred’s dog attacked and that Gerard was merely protecting his own little pug.
A rep for Butler backs this version saying “A larger greyhound repeatedly attacked Gerard’s small pug, so he separated them to protect both dogs.” Gerard marched his dog away to the vet for treatment after the event where he overheard a couple in the waiting room whose dog was in worse shape than his.
A source says, “Gerry overheard the situation and offered to pay and the dog is surviving because of this.” Wonder what Jen has to say about all this!
