Dustin Hoffman has been successfully treated for cancer

The 75-year-old’s representative has revealed that the star is in good spirits and will undergo more preventative treatments to reduce the chance of the disease returning.

“It was detected early and he has been surgically cured,” Dustin’s representative, Jodi Gottlieb, told People magazine.

“Dustin is feeling great and is in good health.”

The rep refused to reveal further details about Dustin’s cancer, but it’s clear the Oscar award-winning actor has not let the disease slow down his career – he recently wrapped production on Jon Favreau’s Chef in mid-July and is scheduled to begin filming a BBC adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Esio Trot this spring.
