Drew Barrymore gives birth

“We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born September 26, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family,” the couple said in a statement.

Drew Barrymore has become a mum. The Charlie’s Angels star and her husband Will Kopelman announced the birth of her daughter to People magazine this morning.

“We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born September 26, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family,” the couple said in a statement.

“Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives.”

Friends say the actress is a natural mother and that family was very important to Will. In a recent interview with Haute Living magazine, Drew said “I can’t wait until I have my children … I just want to build fun, great things for my family.”

In the weeks leading up to the birth, Drew was spotted attending pregnancy yoga classes and spending time with Kopelman’s parents, who were in town ahead of the birth.
