Justin Bieber was in for a surprise when he chatted with the Late Show host David Letterman, who teased the pop star about tattoos and education.
Justin was a guest on the show last week to chat about his new album, Believe, which was released on June 19.
The 18-year-old singer had “Believe” tattooed on his left inner forearm to celebrate the completion of his album, making it his sixth tattoo.
Justin said, “Yesterday my album came out and it was an important day for me.”
David grabbed Justin’s arm and shouted, “Get that off of there!”
Justin retorted, “Hey, this is brand new!” before calling David a “Grandpa”.
David, who was shocked by the number of tattoos the young star already had, pleaded with Justin not to “go nuts, because more and more you’ll seem like a mural like the Sistine Chapel, it’s too much.”
The singer then amused the audience by making a historical error, saying, “I’m not going for the 16th Chapel look.”
David quickly lightened the mood by joking, “Canadian high school.”
