One Direction’s Zayn Malik is engaged to fellow pop star Perrie Edwards. Rumours that Zayn (20) had popped the question to the Little Mix songstress began when Perrie (also 20) was spotted with a diamond ring on her left hand at the London premiere of the documentary One Direction: This is Us, and Zayn’s rep has since confirmed the good news.
Perrie’s mother, Debbie Duffy, also shared her excitement on a radio interview, saying, “it’s true. They got engaged on Sunday and it was absolutely lovely.
“It’s wonderful because Zayn’s absolutely gorgeous and Perrie loves him to pieces and it’s just perfect! They just get on so well together and they understand each other so it’s just fabulous.”
She also noted that Zayn asked her before proposing to her daughter.
“He did the traditional asking me and then asking his mum and dad and everything,” she said. “And I just thought it was adorable.”
Another celebrity embracing marriage was Rosanna Arquette, sister of David. The Pulp Fiction star tied the knot with her investment banker boyfriend Todd Morgan, making this the 54-year-old actress’ fourth marriage.
“Rosanna Arquette and Todd Morgan were married in a private family ceremony in Malibu on Sunday,” a rep for the Desperately Seeking Susan star told Us Weekly. The pair got engaged in June 2011.
