Britney Spears’ Vegas show bombs

Ticket sales for the 31-year-old singer's shows are “dismal”, an industry source reveals.

Britney Spears’ two-year residency in Las Vegas is off to a bad start. Ticket sales for the 31-year-old singer’s shows are “dismal”, an industry source reveals.

“After spending hundreds on promotion, they expected to instantly sell out all of the first 16 shows, but they didn’t come close,” the source told Radar. “In fact, Britney only sold out three of the 16 shows put on sale and many are considering this a disaster.”

Other stars who have had residencies in Las Vegas, such as Celine Dion and Shania Twain, have sold out their first block of shows right away – and investors are concerned that Britney may not be worth the $18 million she is earning per year.

“There are nearly 50 shows a year and the theatre is small… it only holds about 4500 people,” the source said. “Ticket sales need to start skyrocketing or else there’s going to be a lot of disappointed investors and people involved with the show.”
