Adele gives mini Oscar to son

British singer Adele arrived back in the UK with an Academy Award in her suitcase – and miniature version of the award for her four-month-old son, reportedly named Angelo. The 24-year-old, who picked up the gong for Best Original Song at last week’s Oscars ceremony, tweeted a photo of her award next to a smaller version of her statue with the words “Best Son” inscribed on it.

“And we’re home! What an epic trip. Thanks for having us Hollywood!,” tweeted Adele, along with a photo of the awards.

Adele gives mini Oscar to son

Adele has been living in Sir Paul McCartney’s former home in LA for the past two months for the awards season, where she picked up a Grammy, a Golden Globe and an Oscar for her James Bond track Skyfall. Despite her success, Adele came under fire for her weight at the Academy Awards, with host Seth MacFarlane making a joke at her expense and Joan Rivers saying that her award was “the only one wearing Spanx”.

But Adele has laughed off the jibes, and her aunt Anita Adkins says that “what you see is what you get” with her niece and that she won’t get any special treatment from her family. “Adele comes round and she’s still got to go and make her nan a cup of tea, I’m afraid,” says Anita.
